Helena Packer is a distinguished figure in visual effects and creative direction, with over three decades of experience and a remarkable track record of success. Currently serving as Chief Creative Officer of Blue Moon AI, Helena plays a pivotal role in harnessing the synergy between creative storytelling and cutting-edge AI technology. She oversees diverse projects and teams, fostering environments of creativity and innovation.
Prior to her tenure at Blue Moon AI, Helena served as Senior Vice President and General Manager of DGene US (In affiliation with Tencent and Alibaba) where she oversaw artificial intelligence for content creation. Before her work with DGene Helena served as a consultant and VFX Supervisor for Artificial Intelligence (AI) Content Creation at Intel, where she led groundbreaking initiatives aimed at revolutionizing content. Her role involved collaborating with multidisciplinary teams of engineers and artists to conceptualize and implement innovative solutions.
As an Independent Visual Effects Supervisor, Helena has led global teams across films, television, commercials, and virtual reality projects. Her expertise encompasses the entire visual effects process, from previsualization to post-production, and her contributions have been integral to the success of numerous high-profile projects.
Helena’s journey in the visual effects included starting and running her own VFX studios, Dumonde Visual Effects and Whodoo VFX where she served as Visual Effects Supervisor and shaped comprehensive VFX pipelines. Notable projects under her supervision include films such as “21 Jump Street,” “Failure to Launch “House on Haunted Hill,” and “Charlie Wilson’s War.” Commercials have included Mercedes, Miller Beer, Sunkist, McDonalds and Toyota.
